Depot Museum
Built as a passenger station by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1928, this pink stucco structure now houses memorabilia of early Lake Wales; photographs; turpentine, citrus, and ranching exhibits; 1916 train car, 1944 diesel engine, 1926 caboose, and old train artifacts. Historic Bok Sanctuary
The 205-foot Bok Singing Tower, established by Edward W. Bok on top of Iron Mountain, is the highest point on the peninsula. Built of Georgia marble and Florida coquina, it houses a carillon of 57 bells (ranging from 17 pounds to 11 tons) that provides music throughout the day. The tower is closed to the public, but an audiovisual presentation of the tower's interior is shown at the visitor center. Surrounding the tower are 128 acres of landscaped gardens, a self-guided nature trail, walking paths, seasonal flowers, and a bird observatory. Best Western lodging is nearby. Lake Kissimmee State Park
More than 5,000 acres bordered by the Kissimmee, Tiger, and Rosalie lakes.
